I found this online a while ago but can't locate the source. There are several lists like this but this gives a good idea of what people are talking about when they say Benedictine values from the Rule. I guess we should also remember that the word "Rule" means "guide" or some even say "trellis", a framework for growth. And much of the Rule is based on scriptural references organized for community living.

Moderation - To be content with living simply and finding balance in work, prayer and leisure.
